  • book: laurell k hamilton . laughing corpse
  • music: ella fitzgerald . love is here to stay

still in my sentimental phase, although not as bad as last nights.

finally finished reading wicked. its a really good read. i highly recommend it. next on my list is confessions of an evil stepsister or mirror mirror, both by gregory maguire. buti na lang, i have a 20% coupon for borders. ay! nag-taglish. hehe.

the coupon is good from the 6th to the 10th of december, so i won't be able to get my books for a while. if i can wait until then that is. if i get too impatient, then by this time tomorrow, i'll prolly be reading my new book. oh happy day.

i try to think i'm not judgemental, but the truth is, i am. on a more positive note, though, i don't rely purely on first impressions. i know that those opinions can change given an opportunity. take for example, one of my bestfriends, yel. i used to think she was a major bitca, 'coz she had beef with one of my kabarkadas in highschool. and she's one of the more stronger personalities among my class, so she seemed really bossy.

long story short, we ended up as roommates at uplb and we've been really good friends ever since. i'm even godmother to her son, dylan.

isn't he just adorable?

i was a little irked in the beginning though, 'coz it was her fault i ended up dorming at st. therese which was ruled by a nun's iron fist and a very strict 9pm curfew. but it all turned out ok. i managed to survive 2 semesters living in a convent-like atmosphere, which is not much of a difference from attending an all-girl catholic highschool so it was something i was used to.

so anyway, we all get the moral of the story here.

there's really no point in this blog. i'm just reminiscing once again about things that have made an impact in my life, but not in the depressing way it was last night. i think that's the theme for this week. seriously, these hormonal mood swings are getting old.
