  • book: laurell k hamilton . guilty pleasures
  • music: kristin chenoweth . for good (wicked ost)

i've been hankering for broadway musicals lately. right now, i'm listening to the original soundtracks for hairspray and wicked. maybe later, i'll add rent and others.

counting down the days until the lion king on sale on the 13th. 6 days to go. seriously not looking forward to it. they're expecting at least 200 ppl to line up. we have 15 ppl set up as box office windows meaning the wait will take longer than the lines at disneyland. 100 ppl will man the phones. that 101th person will be hearing the busy signal, poor guy/girl. it'll be my 6th work day for the week. i just hope i don't have to work on sunday too. its nikki's bday and i'd like to show up for her shindig.

it would've been easier to bear if we didn't have 4 shows that day. last show is at 9:30p. we open the box office at 7a. since we close a half hour after the last show starts, we're pretty much going to be open for 10 hours. damn you, disney!

lucky joes is out of ticketing now and bert is in admin, so they're not gonna work it. guess who's going to be in vegas? everybody but me. grreat!

so i'll be home alone that weekend. i'm thinking i'll rent all the crappy movies i wanna see, that no one else is willing to see with me. it'll be a whole weekend spending quality time with myself. work will be a tiny blip on my weekend radar, hopefully.

movies i wanna rent in no particular order:

  • around the world in 80 days (jackie chan, yeah!)
  • day after tomorrow
  • stepford wives (although, i'm not sure if this one's out yet)
  • hidalgo
  • dawn of the dead
  • garfield
  • a cinderella story (its a guilty pleasure movie)
  • raising helen
  • the chronicles of riddick
  • the terminal
  • confessions of a teenage drama queen (leave me alone!)
  • harry potter and the prizoner of azkaban

some other movies may come to mind. its a weekend dedicated to myself, dammit! i can do or watch whatever i want.

i'm watching joes play the action soap opera that is gta:sa. its a funny game. extremely violent, but funny nonetheless. you gotta see it to believe it. ::grin::

see, my video games consist of free cell and super mario bros. i'm not savvy enough to try to even attempt playing other video games. maybe i'll try the sims. maybe. tin seems to be enjoying that one a lot.
