its been a pretty eventful weekend.

2 ikea trips this weekend. both ended up with me getting stuff for the room. not good. and today, after seeing ro off at lax, joes, jean and i went to sta monica at 3rd street promenade. still not good. spent more money. seriously, i know better but i still give in to impulse buying.

on the upside, i actually bought clothing this time, and not my usual purse/footwear purchases.

the downside? the color of the day was brown. all 3 shirts that i bought? yeah, all striped with brown in it. grr argh! oh well, they were still cute. plus good deals. hello? i'm not that stupid. i may give in to temptation but its money well spent with good discounts. hehe. i learned from the best! (i.e. mom.)

hung out with the girlfriends, plus melissa's boyfriend ryan, joes and jean, around lunch today at chai's apartment. good times, good times. plentiful food and good company. i kinda got irked a little bit when after eating, my 2 guests went to smoke and didn't come back. i felt that it was a little bit rude to my friends, but i made excuses for them. its not something i would do, if i were someone's guest personally. but i understand that they kinda felt out of place. but then, there's ryan and sofia, who's new to the group, who might also feel out of place, but they stuck around anyway. i don't think my friends are that intimidating or irritating to others not part of the group. i hope it doesn't seem that way. my friends are all cool. admittedly, they've got odd quirks, but they're a great group of people who have my back no matter what. oh well.

and yes, you read right. ro took off for hawaii today. gonna miss him. its certainly gonna be different without him here. almost, almost, teared up but kept my composure. somebody, and i won't name names *coughjeancough*, cried which almost got me going too. thankfully, i'm not as much of a crybaby as my sister seems to think i've turned into. we all tried to console ourselves by going to the promenade and eating at hooters. its amazing how shopping and eating out can slightly lift up your spirits.

work starts again tomorrow. blech!
