yeah. ashlee simpson. can you believe she co-hosted dick clark's new year's rockin' eve? with regis philbin. i can think of a lot of ppl who are better suited to host. and these two are not on that list.
its been such a lazy week. i wish i had planned better and took a vacation this whole week with the 2 long weekends. would've been so worth it. but then, its better that i hadn't. i'm saving up my vacation time for a more worthwhile occasion. right now, i have about 7 days worth. better hold on to it for now.
oh, btw, HAPPY NEW YEAR! boy, time flies by so fast, doesn't it? spending new year's eve in oxnard again. joes and i had dinner at my parent's house and drove up here to spend the night. the kids aren't here this time. the cayangyang family flew to florida for the holidays. the family dog, wickett, isn't here this time too. she passed away before thanksgiving. its the first time i've been here and she isn't. its weird.
had nothing planned for this weekend really. we didn't decide on what we were gonna do until a couple of nights ago. i'm looking forward to sunday, though. chelsea, from work, and the rest of her family are throwing a surprise party for her brother, jason, also from work. he's turning 30 so they're going all out for this one. its vegas themed, and apparently, they're gonna have dealers and stuff. roulette, poker, etc. chelsea designed the cake and will be making it from scratch. i can't wait to see all of it.
so i'm car-less this weekend. i took my car to the dealership yesterday to get some work done. dude, they never called me that it was ready, or that it needed more work. i dropped it off at 1:30pm. they said it was gonna take maybe a couple of hours, so at around 4pm, i call them to follow-up. well apparently, they needed to get the glass company to come down to glue the rubber molding on the rear window and they couldn't come down until the next day. hello? a little notice of what's going on would be nice. so i decide to just pick it up the next day.
this morning, they left me a message at 10:15a to say that my car is done and ready. joes and i go over at 3:30p to pick it up. they closed at 3p. huh? they didn't tell me. and they're closed all weekend too. it was partly my bad, in that i didn't call to find out what their business hours are for this weekend. but a little notice from them would've been really nice.
thank goodness my boyfriend is way nice and doesn't mind driving me around.
anyhoo... once again,
